      Drones are evolving into all the roles of traditional aircraft and air defences. 

      Bombers, air to air interceptors, recon. Their own electronic warfare units and radars.

      Multiple drones are flying together to clear the air of enemy drones and suppress enemy defences to clear the way for the bombers. 

      Similar to air force strike packages.

      So was the Russian drone reeling out fibre optic cable? or somehow controlled by fibre optics. This is new to me.
