Judges should be investigated thoroughly in this country. What an absolute farce. There are people imprisoned for possessing recreational weed, yet this is a suspended sentence?

Did he happen to work for the BBC?

No flare but I knew it would be the peado’s friend hearing the case.

Fucking Nolan again. How do supreme justices not revoke this cunt. My dad had a 14 day sentence for no TV licence back in the day. Yeah a long time ago, back when fiddling was rife.
It’s brain numbing.

Is there no journalist that would like to investigate all the works that Nolan did?
Nolan is really the protector of child abusers!

Ireland’s truly is a safe haven for nonces. Sort of explains how the church got away with so much here. Shocking, sad and deeply embarrassing

Nolan of course. Christ this countries justice system is an absolute joke.
I pity the gardaì who have to sift through all that material, investigate, arrest and interview someone to see them handed a get out of jail free card over and over again.

Children are abused for those images to exist and viewing them creates a market demand for more kids to be abused. So the legal system needs to treat it like a violent crime.

Fucks sake it’s ridiculous at this stage.

I’ve been living in this country for some 11 years now and it still amazes me how everybody seems to be aligned that the current law & justice system is outdated and absolutely not fit for purpose and yet, throughout those 11 years… nothing has changed in that regard. How are people not out on the streets demanding a change is beyond me.

I don’t know why the mods introduced a ‘Nolan’s at it again’ flair. It’s completely redundant. We can already tell he’s at it again when we read the headline.

Things like this have to be another aspect of garda morale being low.
When are we going to start making our judiciary explain themselves?

Nolan?

I read somewhere a while back that there’s a reason why Nolan gets so many of these kinds of cases, though I can’t remember what that reason was (it may have been that more serious cases are dealt with elsewhere), and that while it appears he’s more lenient that we think he ought to be his sentences aren’t out of line with those from other judges on similar cases, based on the fact that they generally (or always) aren’t acts of recidivism and where full cooperation is given with admissions of guilt etc., but if only seems suspicious because he deals with a massive number of such cases.

No prizes for guessing the judge…..
