Context: Yesterday at 23:00, a fake announcement in a now-deleted Telegram channel @ArmeniaEnd was made, announcing that they are going to organize shootings in schools and malls. The promised terroristic acts weren’t realized, however. Personally I think it’s some crazed Russian guy behind this. But I wonder what others think on this as well

Of course anyone from anywhere in the world can make Telegram channels and post stupid shit, however.

Our government’s utter idiotic approach to our information security and hygiene, and their lax approach to Russian migrants, enhances these dangers.

We don’t properly screen anyone coming from Russia. Azeri species can easily enter Armenia using Russian IDs (not even passports). We don’t have a dedicated information warfare branch. Sure NSS, the police, the military, all have their own internal offices, but they are on the bare minimum level.

We need to learn from Ukraine and have a dedicated, well funded, and trained info sec and info warfare unit.
