The warm is not the ultimate daytime temperature. It’s all the milder overcast nights because more cloud cover is becoming a feature.

The fossil fuel subsidies probably aren’t what you would imagine. From the CSO:
> Fossil fuel subsidies were €4.7 billion in 2022, up 68% from €2.8 billion in 2021, as a number of temporary Government support measures, including direct subsidies to households and tax rate reductions on petrol and diesel, were introduced in response to rising energy prices.
So it’s partly actual subsidies through the domestic electricity credits and the rest is a temporary reduction in the Mineral Oil Tax Non-Carbon (MOTNC).
I’m not sure if I would call a temporary reduction in tax on one of the most heavily taxed substances in the country (and whose tax rates are among the highest in the world even at the reduced rate) a subsidy.
