Unfortunately, Trump is POTUS again. And he is Putin’s bitch, so following his orders is a foregone conclusion.
No doubt they are betting everything on this. And in November I would have believed it inevitable. But Trump has one talent – he can smell weakness, and Putin is weak and struggling. I think Trump would revel in the world declaring him the winner. And look who Trump has in his Ukraine team. Kellogg will not be outwitted by the Russians that easily.

I’m not so sure Putin has anything to offer Trump. Unlike 2016, it doesn’t seem like Trump depends much on Russian oligarch money anymore.
I hold a LOT of dislike for Trump and everything he does, but there’s no way that Putler can convince anyone that he and Trump are equals now. Trump and his cabinet are going power mad at the moment, and Putler looks like a cuck to the west atm. If Trump gives him anything he asks for, it’d prove Trump to be a bigger cuck; which he def is. He just won’t want to admit it to the world this way.
