In che modo gli occhiali da lettura ( + prescrizione) sono economici e prontamente disponibili in negozi come DM ma gli occhiali di miopia (- prescrizione) devono essere acquistati a un prezzo più elevato in un negozio ottico come Apollo?
Noto questa differenza nel prezzo e nel negozio in Germania, ma nel mio paese d’origine entrambi i tipi di occhiali da prescrizione sono venduti in un negozio ottico.

These glasses are not meant for everyday use but for emergencies only basically.
You can also get off the shelf corrections for short sightedness quite cheap, however not as commonly as the far sightedness ones. However, as those glasses are typically worn all day, most go for prescription glasses that match your eyes in all parameters and not just in one parameter.
It’s basically the same with sunglasses etc. You can get cheap ones off the shelf, but once you use a custom frame, special lenses etc. It gets a lot more expensive.
Comfort and exactly fitting dioptres are the biggest shortcoming of those cheap ones, which is extremely noticeable when you need to wear them all day.
