#Trump Confirms Tariffs on EU Amid Trade Tensions

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he will “absolutely” impose tariffs on the European Union, claiming the bloc has mistreated the United States. Speaking at the White House, Trump said the new tariffs would go as planned despite speculation that they might be delayed.

The move comes as the U.S. also prepares to introduce tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China, three of its largest trading partners. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the measures would take effect on February 1, as initially scheduled.

The decision is expected to escalate tensions between the U.S. and its trading partners, who may respond with their tariffs. Trump has long criticised the EU over trade policies, arguing that American businesses face unfair barriers. The EU has not yet commented on the latest announcement, but experts warn that the new tariffs could lead to further economic disputes between the two sides.

I’ll bet it will at least the same as for Canada and Mexico (25%), with China getting a discount (10%).

Taiwan (semiconductors) is likely to get hit harder than China as well.

With Trump’s opening shots of economic warfare, intent on undermining allies more than BRICS nations, he’ll be doing the thing Putin and Xi are dreaming off.

The 10% tariffs on China’s exports to the US is nothing to sneeze at, but they seem more like a cover, to obfuscate it is the US’ closest allies and the US itself who will be weakened much more, relatively speaking.

For people who are wondering why America is so bad and what the Trump administration has to gain by doing this look up the Supreme Court Case Citizens United as well as how much more wealth the Billionaire class has gained in America in the last 15 years. They already have the wealth and political influence. 

The Trump administration has three primary goals when it comes to the American Economy. The first is to roll back as many regulations on business as possible. The second is to slash as much  funding to government/close down as many government agencies as possible so private interests can come in and privatize those agencies. The third is to crash the American economy as hard as possible so private interests can come in and buy everything else cheaply. Again they already have the political influence and liquidated capital to do so.

Once private interests control every aspect of American life they will continue to prop up politicians that support them. Most likely Trump, that is why Republicans are already floating a third term for him.

ONE TRICK PONY!

I think Trump wants to abolish taxes for the rich. Politically he can’t just do that so instead he will let all American consumers pay a flat tax of around 30% through tariffs.

Simple solution, any tariff proposed by trump is met with double in return until he publicly backs down and apologises for being a dick. He wont last more than a few weeks when all his exports dry up.
