You seem like a massive pushover, and I guess that’s because you’re young and inexperienced, and this guy is trying to walk over you.

1800 EUR for some old furniture? That furniture had better be gold plated furniture right from Sanssouci Palace for that price, and you know it isn’t. He’s screwing you on the price.

Threatening to involve your boss? What is this company? How does it matter? Do you actually think your boss will care? Is this some weird family business?

And him telling you “no you sell it and give me the money” is also fucking nonsense, as is the threat of a lawsuit.

Tell him to fuck off and take his furniture from your flat immediately with him, and don’t pay him a cent. If he starts bitching and moaning tell him you’ll transport it to his front door and unload it there and that’s all he gets.

And for the future, leaving your job because some idiot there tries to walk over you is not really a sustainable solution either.

    2. Why don’t you sort this out with the company, they owe you money for putting you in the wrong tax class wich they have to pay right away. Talk to HR and clarify that you need the money immediately. (Of course, unless it was your mistake to get into the wrong tax class by declaring your status wrongly)

Also that colleague seems like a massive idiot. Who on earth pays urgent bills by selling furniture? Looks a lot like he is pressuring you on purpose (threatening to talk to a higher up in the company is also highly unprofessional when it comes to personal disputes, and if a lawyer gets involved it would take even longer for him to get his money)
