      >“The European Union has treated us so terribly,” Trump added, reiterating a grievance he has frequently voiced.

It really seems like he talks on behalf of his multibillionaire corporations’ friends.

I hope the world’s leaders will be able to show unity on this. The interests and situation for the EU, the UK, Canada, all of Latin America, China, and likely more is here the same. A unified front would be a great thing to see and the best way to ensure success. Internal squabbles can be handled at a later date.

And Mexico. And Canada. And China. And on Taiwan’s chips too, apparently. And all BRICS countries.

Oh, and the tariffs were first 10%, then 25%, now it’s up to 100%.

I am sensing a pattern here.

Why have I been hearing far off llama farts in the Western wind ever since this guy weazled his way back into the white house?

the constant threat of tariffs makes the US an unreliable partner… great way to strengthen BRICS

    6. It’s because solving domestic problems is very hard. Creating new problems abroad is very easy

I am Danish, and our country sent soldiers to die alongside Americans in the wars in the middle east. We went along you to a war that had nothing to do with us. Now we get treated like we are advisaries. Trump wants to take Greenland from us and slap tariffs on us. With friends like this, who needs enemies.

Great! One minute ago we cancelled our Netflix subscription too! We informed with the reason for cancellation that we cannot support US companies anymore due to this very concerning shit!

Europe isnt Canada or Mexico. Europe is more than capable of supporting itself with inter-Europe trade and a trade war with Europe will hurt America more than it will hurt Europe. Wait until all these tech billionaires that support Trump wake up one day and realize that they no longer have access to the European market.

    10. Stabile_Feldmaus on

Let’s do trade deals with Canada and Mexico, and ratify Mercosur.

    11. For the first time in modern history, the US has decided to directly attack allies. Not even hard right presidents like Bush 1, Bush 2 or Reagan did this since they knew how to manage their differences through proper diplomatic channels.

The US has decided to isolate themselves from the rest of the world, good for them. Let me tell you something, if the US dollar stops being the world’s currency reserve things in the US will become ugly, really ugly. These type of measures will only accelerate that.

The EU, perhaps in an alliance with Canada and Mexico, should create a new trade category, “digital trade,” and tax big tech exactly like Trump is trying to do now. They don’t like it? C’est la vie. What are they going to do? It’s not like they’ll pull out of the EU market—probably the wealthiest in the world when it comes to spending and profit per user.

    13. Kento418 on

Bitch, please! Shut up and bring it already.

This will be the 3rd trade war the US loses to the EU!

And hopefully we’ll force all your tax evading tech companies to pay their fucking tax in the process. And ban X and possibly Facebook too. Bring. It. On!

    14. So ist merica vs the world. Sad for the people living in the US

    15. Johnbaptist69 on

He will be remembered as a president of peace alright. Peace of shit that is.

Surprised Pikachu face when EU decides to knife Facebook, Instagram, X, Tesla, OpenAI, Amazon..

    17. stonesia on

What absolutely stumps me is why does a president of a democracy have this much power to just fuck shit up? Dictatorsip with term limits.

    18. Aschebescher on

The most priviligred person the world has ever seen, who did not have to work a single day for his hundreds of millions of dollars, who dodged the military and did not do anything at all ever for country that did not serve himself, is whining all day about everything and anything. Please, bring the tarriffs and close the borders, we will all be winners because of it.

    19. Moone111 on

It was better to maintain peacefully relations with Russia instead of USA. And they are the assholes that damaged Nordstream fuck them

    20. Unusual_Ada on

Good! the way out is through. Sooner this starts the sooner it finishes

    21. throwAway1121_DE on

Remember when part of the USA was named “New Spain”. Oh my dear, we made you. We created you. If it weren’t for the EU, you would still be plowing the land with horses

    22. Travel-Barry on

Never thought I’d live to see America act like a foe.

The US made its bed. You cannot choose to be the global hegemony while *not* participating in the global economy. You cannot choose to suddenly become an insular economy while maintaining this reach. What a gift to China this is.

Could be a nice time to get some of our military bases, I guess. I am still totally fucked off that the wife of a diplomat managed to run over a British citizen before fleeing back home under diplomatic immunity. Trump then ambushed the parents during a White House visit by keeping the murderer in the other room next door to them.

When it happens, it will be someone close and he will never expect it.. and the world will cheer. Traitorous pos 🤢
