I’m very pleased to hear that from Poroshenko. Its good on him and for Ukraine that he puts his own aspiration for power aside at the benefit of ukrainian unity while at war. It’s unfathomable though that dim americans can’t get anything right or for once just shut up.

      Exactly

EU and all independent countries – democratic or not – better brace themselves because it is not only russia that they need to protect themselves from. Trump in particular has gone from dogmatic ‘build a wall’ rhetoric to empire building and world dictator talking points – and in this chaotic backdrop, every would be invader will be carefully assessing how to take advantage of the situation. There are too many would be world emperors and invaders with outdated ideas in the world right now. And Trump has already made the situation worse: threats of tariffs, overnight tarrifs, suddenly cutting humanitarian aid, threats of invasion, blackmail, bullying. russia will be loving it.

He is a true patriot. I like him, he has shown true strength many times during this war.

The ones talking elections just want to put a Putin puppet right after the ceasefire.

All the calls for a Ukraine election are from people trying to destabilise Ukraine, nothing more. The UK went 10 years between elections from 1935 – 1945 when they were at war. Countries at war do not hold elections so stop talking this shit.

Why isn’t anyone saying Russia should have elections?

Every indication is that the second the war ends, Zelenskyy will immediately start winding down his administration and preparing for new elections.

If that proves not to be the case, I suspect the country would flip on him like a switch.

I am confident that he’ll uphold the rule of law. If he weren’t that type of guy, Russia would’ve compromised him a long time ago.

Absolutely correct. Obviously correct, only someone very far away from the conflict, and someone under russias influence would call for ellection during wartime, it’s absurd and against constitution

Elections have become the west’s weakest points against foreign interference and also where they are most incompetent.

People demanding Ukraine have an election in the middle of an existential war have no idea how to ensure that election is legitimate

      Good man.
TBH I think Zelensky would hand it over tomorrow if he thought it was viable.

The reason Dementia Don’s administration is wanting an election is so Elon Musk can use his evil to change the vote tabulations like he probably did to win his election.
