Edit: I should clarify this was a response to the post on r/ukraineconflict stating Trump is trying to take Ukraine’s land and the comments it fueled.

Yeah, he did the same thing with the border deal for Canada that they already agreed to under Biden
This isn’t a bad idea. It establishes a framework for future US-UKR cooperation and it gives a demonstrable incentive for those who don’t care about the humanitarian aspect of this war.
Make the wrong people do the right things. I am sure Zelenskyy doesn’t care who takes the credit. If this helps to end the war, he will probably name any new mining city after Trump!
