    1. The members of the special parliamentary committee on Caritas chose Charles Weiler as chairman to replace Stéphanie Weydert, who resigned at the end of January due to a potential conflict of interest. Back in business, the committee interviewed representatives of PWC.

Following the resignations of Laurent ZeimetLaurent Zeimet (CSV) and Stéphanie WeydertStéphanie Weydert (CSV) on the grounds of a potential conflict of interest, the members of the special committee on Caritas appointed Charles WeilerCharles Weiler (CSV) as their new chairman on Monday 3 February.

      A lawyer by profession, Weiler was first elected to Diekirch Municipal Council in 2017. Re-elected in 2023, he was appointed mayor following the formation of a CSV-DP coalition to succeed the LSAP, which had lost its absolute majority. An unsuccessful candidate in 2013 and 2018, he entered the Chamber of Deputies in 2023. Elected for the North constituency, he received 14,483 votes under his name.

    2. Why is PWC involved in this? When there is power and influence they always have to be there as vultures?
