Excuse my ignorance but isn’t this in every democratic country’s constitution? Something along the lines of “During martial law, no elections are to be held. Martial law can be declared if the country is involved in a war or for cataclysms. Martial law needs to be reinstated by parliament every X months if it is to be prolonged”?
And nor should they.
