Fortezza di Hohensalzburg

Its one of the most beautiful and intact fortresses in Austria. However last time i visited i was a bit disappointed by the Museum. Like 15-20 years ago they had armor and weapons displayed everywhere (similar to Heeresgeschichtliches Museum in Vienna) and in general there was more to look at. Last year when i went there they really cut it down. There is a lot of – still interesing – 18-19 century suff, but honestly if i visit a castle like that i’d expect some kind of medieval exibition aswell. The new “armory”, If one could call it that, had only one real complete medieval armor displayed the rest was from the Renaissance and later.
I still enjoyed myself but it used to be better imho
