Leaving aside all else, since the Budapest Memorandum was ignored, it’s kind of logical they get some nukes back.

Nuclear weapons are a deterrent to Russian aggression. The Budapest Memorandum opened the door
for this Russian aggression.
Historically the West only gives Ukraine less effect weapons that don’t match Russian military power….excusing this by saying they don’t want Nuclear War from Russia.
Tactical Nuclear weapons are limited and should be considered a necessity……….like
Long Range Weapons. Tactical Nuclear weapons should be given to Ukraine……….regardless of NATO membership.

Should receive? That will create a breach of the [NPT](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_on_the_Non-Proliferation_of_Nuclear_Weapons) and allow for the Iranian (as example) to receive Russian ones, will not happen. What stops Ukraine to suspend and build their own though?
If they don’t give anything Ukraine will make nukes in a few months.
In 1994 the US brokered the treaty which forced Ukraine to give up 1900 nuclear weapons in exchange for security.
If the US can’t honor its treaties, then it is complicit with Russia, and on the hook to return 1900 nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
Nukes for Ukraine? Let Trump hand-deliver one to Putin and solve a lot of problems at once.
