(All images are taken from Azerbaijani state news.)
This is from February of 2020. I think a lot of people either missed this or forgot about it. But Azerbaijani state news went out of their way to cover how Azerbaijani border guards confiscate the Armenian souvenirs of tourists crossing from Georgia to Azerbaijan and then destroy them, for the sin of being Armenian.
I bring this up (among one of many examples, others far worse) to raise awareness of the racism, hatred, and ultranationalism that is perpetuated against Armenians, and also the government’s lunacy because they think this is supposed to make them look normal and good.

Compared to the wholesale destruction of Armenian monuments and cultural heritage they have perpetrated and still actively do, a few souvenirs shouldn’t matter, but it does indeed showcase well the poisonous hatred they have against Armenians.
