93k is by far the highest estimate I’ve seen… 60k seems to be about right! Seems like they went with the most sensational headline they could find!
The second one is an absolute farce though… that in September, they claimed they’d get to 40k, and then came up a quarter short!
We are Irish. We want more homes and we want them to be cheap but we don’t want developers to make any money, we want them to do it for free almost as punishment for their past transgressions. We don’t want international funds to finance the building, we want the government to pay for it, oh and the people who already have houses don’t want them built anywhere near them, they should be built somewhere else. Tis an easy fix
