      How do those AI models differ in terms of energy consumption, is it comparable? For example as test asking same questions to each AI with more or less equivalent results, and compare efficiency of code?

      If the French managed to cook the EU should give them additional funds. This is exactly what we need. They don’t need to reach the level of newer models from America or China. Somewhere around GPT-4 /4o would be enough for me for the start. Then again where is Mistral even ranked in?

      Kudos to the French for supporting their own business. By way of explanation, Mistral is not exactly “new”. It’s been around since 2023. But only recently have they rolled out their iOS and Android mobile apps, that is correct.

      Ask “what is the weather today” and it will give your location weather forecast.

      Ask how it knows where you are and it will be denying knowing your location 😂

      Mistral app is nice, but kinda pointless, I can run 7B mistral on my phone locally

      Weird, I couldn’t find it in the appstore but googled it and could install it that way.

      I like it because it doesn’t mix Croatian and Serbian language. ChatGPT and Perplexity, when I ask something in Croatian, answers in mixed language and sometimes even throws cyrillic words in the mix. Le Chat answers either in Croatian or Serbian (latinic).

      Though I wish they wouldn’t limit the number of queries for free users, which is now 20 per day (used to be 50 if I’m not mistaken).
