      Agreement on the concept is great, but it will take years and years to find agreement on the details. Every national system has its little ideosyncracies, which means each country has an interest to shaping a European system that takes those into account. It will be a enormous task to bring that all together in practice.

      Is it the same think of the banking union? If i am correct this was blocked by germany. Any chance this will be accepted by national government?

      Not to be the killjoy but even though Letta says something reasonable here, his credibility in the eyes of the Italians (correggetemi se non siete d’accordo) plummeted to the bottom. Him associating his own name with Draghi’s so carelessly is kind of chalkboard scraping, frankly.

      People invest in US because EU investment options are horribly weak.

      EU  ETF are up to 10x worse than US.

      How are they going to “fix” that?

      I’d rather that a defense union is formed first, but I’ll take what I can.
