Use it to support humans, not an invasive species. AI is filth. Then again, if this gets built and the AI bubble busts, then more clean energy for Europe.

I am happy that they want to build more nuclear. Whether they end up using it for AI or not, screw fossil fuels either way.

I just wish France would invest more in renewable energies as well. This was a statement I vaguely remember from my applied physics professor at the TU Vienna (who also happened to be head of the Austrian research group for EURATOM who are focusing on nuclear fusion and who is definitely not against nuclear fission technology – before any of you get any stupid ideas):
It’s astounding that the one country in Europe that has almost unlimited potential for both solar AND wind power refuses to substantially invest in either of them to the same degree we see in other major European countries.

The transition to clean energy is not for tomorrow in France. Nuclear power is a short-term solution but not viable as long as the waste remains harmful. In fact, 4% of waste is highly harmful and must be buried. The 4th generation reactors will only be operational in decades…
