    1. > The court heard she had suffered an injury to her left wrist after falling on the same floor a year earlier but had not sued for reasons including the injury was a “clean break” that healed.

      Kind of mad you’d damage your wrist at the same place, then have the same thing happen a year later. Seems like the hotel should have taken more precautions though. I know a lot of places won’t let you near the dancefloor holding a drink or passing through.

      This one seems fair enough, tbh. She had to retire seven years early. You’d think the place would have learned to clean their floors after she broke the other wrist the year before.

      I fractured my knee one in a nightclub, jokingly said to owner I was suing and he was like go on ahead you’ll never be allowed in again. So I didn’t 🤣

      Dancer and jiving are loosely tenuously linked. You’d think a regular dancer would have some poise. This is ridiculous the crap that’s happened me in life leaving me with constant sciatica, a wrecked ankle and a bad knee, I should be a millionaire.

      Places are gonna either;

      A) Close dance floors altogether or,
      B) make everyone sign a waiver on entry.

      Ireland loves a bit of outrage at these stories, and nine times out of ten the outrage never lasts long past the headline.

      Fell twice and broke her wrist twice, a year apart. No efforts at all from the hotel to rectify the issues. Had to retire seven years early from the physical job she’d worked for 46 years. Most of the compensation for loss of earnings.

      No wonder there are no nightclubs left in the country

      Only in Ireland.

      It says she drove there, but doesnt specify if she drove back, or was drinking on the night. The accident was at 12.38am, I think if she was inebriated, that should have been taken into account.

      Also, the fact that this was her second fall, at the same location, partaking in the same activity, this claim seems really bogus to me.

      Ah so this is how you get enough money to buy a house in this country. I was wondering.

    11. And there’s me doing a job for decades giving myself the carpel tunnel and not using anyone like a sucker

      This is not a serious country. She should have had her medical bills paid and to have been given enough for a modest holiday.
      233k is fucking stupid
