Cosa sono questi??

Hello. A friend of mine who is working on a construction site sent me this photo. The site is in Xaghra, Gozo. They found these lines dug in the rock, clearly man-made. Archaeologists are on-site but no one is saying what these could be. Anyone has any idea?
