While traveling around the world for many many years, I’ve been working on my dream project: creating a one-stop resource for travellers. Belgium being my neighbour country, I have vistied many times (and I love it). I now created this overview [ [https://www.takeyourbackpack.com/backpacking-in-belgium/](https://www.takeyourbackpack.com/backpacking-in-belgium/) ] for anyone who is interested in visiting Belgium (with some detailed info for every highlight), hopefully you will love it as much as I did.
PS: obviously, I haven’t been able to travel to all parts. So if you know some great spot, I haven’t listed, let me know! Much appreciated as in this way I can make the overview more complete and up-to-date for everyone.

It seems like a good basic overview of activities. Can you maybe fix the overlap between symbols like in Ghent?
I thought the one in the north of limburg would be Achelse Trappist. But it turns out that Pukkelpop got moved.

Last year I walked from Kortrijk to Ronse to Zottegem to Gent, lovely route that includes De Ronder track, and lovely countryside. This year I’m walking from Antwerp to Malle to Bobbejaanland and back to Antwerp, none of my routes are on your list so I’m happy it will be quiet :]

Hasselt has a zoo? Do you mean the Kinderboerderij on Domein Kiewit?

Little gem in Wallonia is Thuin. Its a beautiful small town with a rich history, and especially on the 3rd week-end of may there is a big napoleonic procession.
There are 2 UNESCO sites in the Belfry and the hanging gardens, ruins of an old abbey, beautiful landscapes and woods, a tram museum, the Distillerie de Biercée, medieval vibes with old remparts. There’s even a golf court. Its honestly a really nice town.

Definitely should go spend a week in Liège. It is quite lacking on the map.

Tomorrowland is not near Aalst, but in Boom (De Schorre).

Seems to be chatgpt generated nonsense.
The fairytale-like castle of the counts in Brussels?
The romanesque? style Abbey of Vilers?
The Well-preserved amphitheatre of Tongeren?
Stopped reading after that. Things like this make me angry.

I wouldn’t recomend Charleroi.
What is this nonsense
And what about the ‘8-zaligheden boom’ ???
