Vance:
“We want to achieve a lasting peace, not one that will lead to conflict in Europe in a few years. We had a number of good discussions about how to achieve this and there will be more in the coming days, weeks and months,” US Vice President J.D. Vance said after the meeting.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the talks were ‘good’ and added: “We need to communicate more, work more and prepare a plan to stop Putin.”
I hasten to add that I hate the new US government and I hate that Zelenskyy has to deal with them. Glory to Ukraine.

Not sure if someone was talking but, regardless I see the Ukrainians not shifting focus, looking across the table strong and intentionally and the Americans unable to make eye contact.

As an American, who served with NATO forces in the 1980’s, I am embarrassed by the current administration and our current ‘go it alone’ mentality.
I am sorry.
I regularly contact my representatives, expressing my concerns. Unfortunately, we lost one of our Senators to the other side last election. I expect local protests to grow as the weather warms up and I intend to join those local protests to voice my opposition to the current administration. This is no longer the country I grew up in.
Is that Vance / Maybelline Man making the thumbs up / “I’m a bitchen guy” gesture? Meanwhile, Zelensky’s “what a tool” expression is priceless.

And that was one pointless meeting if I saw one. Half-brained Vance broadcasting masters thoughts, Zelenskyy trying to talk some sense into him. Nobody gained any clarity post meeting, surely not the US side that needs it the most.
