      Basically bus bunching happens because short delays from traffic congestion result in higher dwell times as more passengers board the delayed bus and fewer board the subsequent bus. The way to solve it is to have bus priority lanes so that buses do not face traffic delays and faster boarding so that dwell times are reduced.
