If it’s in the parts that Russia currently controls, and it involves American troops, that sounds like a good deal. Something tells me the deal was a terrible deal, for America, for Ukraine, for everyone.

When are people going to realise that the new US administration are asset strippers, nothing more.

Extraction by extortion. Seriously fuck Trump, bigly.

    4. SCOUSE-RAFFA on

It’s estimated that the rare materials are worth 2T by the time they’re extracted it’s likely much higher.

The US demanding 50% is an insult as they’re insinuating that it’s only them that have helped Ukraine.

Europe has helped Ukraine more than the US but we aren’t blackmailing Ukraine with give us rare materials or we’ll stop aid and help Trumps best friend Putler by giving him European land.

Hate these titles, it needs to append the line “in exchange for nothing”

Do not give money to the corrupt trump cabal. Ukraine needs money to fight the russia evil putin.

Could you imagine if a foreign country went and tried to do this to the US?

    8. So Trump estimated Ukrainian minerals at $500 bln (he’s lowballing), and says the US has provided $200 bln (he’s overcharging) to Ukraine.

But anyways, that leaves $300 bln of difference. I guess Zelensky said “fine, but half of that ($150 bln) is paid upfront”. And that’s when the mood gone sour.

They’ll never honor an agreement. They’ll demand 75% in 18 months.

Even if Trump puts boots on the ground and push the orcs across the border + Krim, it’s still a pretty steep price.

    11. Ukraine should tell them sure no problem but only from the occupied regions so that if the US does not guarantee Ukraine taking back those territories they get nothing. This way it is in US best interest for Ukraine to regain all its rightfully owned territories.

      Trade offer:

      **I receive**: rare earth elements

      **You receive**: capitulation

Owning 50% of the minerals is a considerable difference from Ukraine’s openness to the US being involved in Ukraine’s resource extraction industries. Ukraine basically wants an arrangement similar to the US arrangement with Saudi Arabia, where American companies work within the country’s framework of laws and the United States provides the country with security and diplomatic support.

The administration’s people are trying to pitch it as a way to repay the US- which isn’t a good sign of where their mindset is, since the vast majority of the assistance doesn’t come with an obligation of repayment (and Ukraine can’t repay anything if it is conquered by the Russians). If the administration think Ukraine’s priorities involve retroactively accepting the existence of a debt that does not exist on paper, it’s not a good sign for the caliber of the administration’s negotiating team.

Ukraine wants to work with the Trump administration, but the Trump administration is sabotaging itself by leading in these discussions with the idea that debt repayment should be a motive for Ukraine to make large resource concessions.

They’re also pushing the condition that American security would be part of a deal that includes a peace agreement with Russia- which is going to make any sort of arrangement unattractive since it would rely on Ukraine and Russia being at peace, the Budapest Memorandum was also predicated upon a similar assumption that Russia would not unilaterally attack Ukraine.

Don’t do it, Zelensky! Fuck America at this point. Trump’s creating a situation here that’s going to take us decades to recover from, if we ever do. Y’all are better off trying to get everything you can from us while you still can, and then telling trump to get fucked. It looks like his bullshit may unify Europe even more. They got your back. Don’t give an inch and don’t give the fat fucking clown any minerals. Wish we could do more, but now we are fighting our very own wannabe dictator. I can’t believe I know people that voted for this bullshit. We are fucked. Sorry for all the cursing, this shit just enrages me after seeing y’all fight against lil P for the last 12 years.

Or even worse, the CIA will plot an overthrow of the current Ukrainian government so that the USA can install their own puppet leader and government so that they can ramp up the plundering. Look back over history as what they’ve done in the past to numerous countries. Also, remember how they screwed over the British during WW2 with their “Lend Lease and Military aid”. (Share your advanced technology with us (Radar etc), and sign over these profitable British companies to our ownership…List can go on and on…)
      Be very, very careful Ukraine……

The US acting like a junkie, looking for money to buy next fix – Pathetic

Give the bastards the 50% in Russian controlled territory and tell them the only way to get it is to get it out themselves…

They’re already selling out Ukraine, may as well make them pay for it even more.

(Be sure to only tell them the 50% that you have INFORMED them about… if you just so happen to know about more… stay quiet about it)
