It’s absolutely crazy how long it’s taken the EU to start to wake up to the fact that the world is changing

Like, remember back in early 2016, almost a fucking decade ago during Trumps first term when he was casting doubt on the US’s commitment to NATO on the basis such as other NATO countries not paying their fair? Because I fucking do, and I remember how people scoffed at the idea that we should be living up to our 2% GDP commitment

And this was *after* the first Russia invasion of Ukraine btw. The EU literally saw Russia invade Ukraine in 2014, annex a significant piece of it’s territory, and what did we do? Fucking nothing, and then we afterwards scoffed at the idea of increasing our military spending when Trump called us out on it

Surely, something that really needs addressing is what JD Valve mentioned “the enemy within”….. Which is the exact opposite of what he said I e. The far right.
