      These are the people we need more prison space for. Already career criminals when most of us are working or studying to make something of ourselves. These lads have little hope of reform.

      And the rest of the Hennessy clan are now in custody over the torturing of one of their own. Looking like a good year for the people of Corduff with all of these scum doing serious time.

      So this whole fiasco put two criminals in the dirt and three more in prison for a long time. More of the same, please and thanks. Shame that a bunch of people probably witnessed it and ended up traumatised, and that the restaurant had to close.

      No doubt they’re complete scumbags and I’m glad they’re locked up (it’s probably an ideal opportunity to lock them up for a decent stretch), but if someone comes at you with a gun shooting and they end up dead by whatever means if it’s excessive or not then it’s fair game in my eyes.

      Obviously that’s not what the Jury determined, just my personal opinion.

      None of them, murdered or locked up, are a loss to proper society.

      If they were wealthy solicitor’s that shot him in the back of the head they’d have been found not guilty

      Sounds like a blood bath. All those involved are no strangers to violence and brutality.

      Great to see multi cultural gangs in Ireland. A true success story of integration and I am only been 60% sarcastic

      Maybe I’m out of the loop here but why were they jailed for killing a gunman?

      No sympathy for any of them but I always thought a good defence solicitor would have gotten a plea deal with the prosecution. Defence would have been able to argue they never set out to murder anyone, were out for a nice meal and when someone attempted to kill them rage took over and they were so out of their mind with anger they didn’t know the consequences of what they were doing, call it temporary insanity or whatever.

      Can anybody fill in a blank for me. 

      I read the story on the 6 lads convicted today. They have all this footage of exactly what each one did but nowhere it mentions how Tristan Sherry was actually disarmed, taken to the ground and by who? 
      And what happened to the 2nd gunman? 
      Also they very briefly mentioned Tristan had his trousers and underwear pulled down which I can imagine he was being castrated or something. That’s extremely grim. But very little mention of some of the facts or are they mentioned in different articles?
