      Zelenskyy was supposed to make a state visit to Saudi Arabia. A state visit is at the highest level and is organised long in advance. Frankly you can add the Saudis to the list of nations who have betrayed Ukraine imo. The diplomatic faux pas involved here in hosting a summit of the two adversaries of a guest visiting you at the highest level is *so* egregious.

      Yeah, Zelensky is in a snake pit.

      Putin won’t accept any deal granting Ukraine sovereignty in the least whatever the terms.

      Trump may have forced the situation in an arrogant and completely disrespectful way as is his person, but maybe rightfully so.

      It’s time the EU recognizes criticism on US policing from a safe distance is cheap and honoring alliances and shared values does not come without sacrifices, tough choices and bad rep. Trump and Vance did a truthful wake-up call whatever their intentions or political stance.

      Currently there is a lot of disagreement and discontent within Europe, but if the EU fails to inadequately back Zelensky this time it’s done as an authority and it’s done as a union.

      TLDR, in conclusion, f*ck Putin.
