I’m always open to that idea. I think they learnt a thing or two.

Would the UK be accepting of Europe? No one kicked them out.

    3. CataphractBunny on

Both the EU and the UK are stronger together. So, yeah.

    4. Consistent-Matter-59 on

Absolutely. They already speak english (not accent free, but close enough), and their cuisine is great. I love chicken biryani.

    5. SlummiPorvari on

Well I’d like to order from UK shops without a hassle with customs and taxes, like I used to. It was my #1 shopping destination pre-Brexit.

    6. charlsalash on

Yes, we now have bigger problems to deal with than keeping scores Compared to the dangerous idiots we are dealing with now, they are fucking genius and we need them on our side

    7. Pleasethelions on

      Yes.

      Because win-win.

And because of Trump, Putin, and Xi.

The king has to walk naked through the city center while a nun shouts “shame” at him and then you’ll be all good /s

I would, it would strengthen our position. we lost a large economy because of brexit.

I mean.. no one kicked you out? Come back friend 🇪🇺❤️🇬🇧

    11. ZeroPointOnePercent on

Yes gladly. I’m from The Netherlands and we were sad when you left.

    12. MightyHydrar on

Yeah, probably. In light of the current situation, probably even without too many I told you so’s

    13. Consistent-Matter-59 on

I would say yes. But it would have to be decided in a sword fight to the death between Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson (I don’t really know about their politics but I don’t like either).

Realistically, the EU need to work out what it wants to be before anyone thinks of rejoining so we all know what we’re getting into. I mean currently you have divisions and rogue countries blocking things, some want more integration, some less. There are discussions about ”levels’ of membership or different levels of integration. I never wanted to leave, but now we have, we should rejoin only in a way that works for everyone long term.

It would be trouble again in less than 15 years. Maybe another type of close relation would be better for everybody.

    16. Timely_Fly_5639 on

I doubt there were many people who wanted UK out of EU to begin with. The problem would be getting back in with the same status and exceptions that UK had before. Asking for those back *may* irritate some people, but honestly, even then that would be a minority.

If it was up to me personally – UK could come tomorrow.

I don’t know what hurdles actually are in the way, but I personally would in a heartbeat.
The EU is supposed to be a community with good relationships to each other. Part of a healthy relationship is freedom to make mistakes, freedom to leave, freedom to make ones own decisions, among others.

I think everyone in Europe learned something from Brexit. And right now, I think both the EU and GB would win from a Breturn. So, bring the tea and crumpets, I’ll bring some fresh bread and beer and we’ll both see what we can do better this time. <3

    18. As an Irish person, hell yes. Makes it a lot easier to order stuff online, as now it’s pot luck if an item will be flagged for duty. The caveat is they must sign a 100 year agreement never to leave. No take backs.

Welcome back but you can forget the special privileges you gave up last time.

    20. deGanski on

sure why not? but if I have a say you won’t get all the goodies you once had. You’ll have to pay according to your size. There should also be some sort of a forfeit / contractual penalty if you decide a few years later that you want to fuck off again. apart from that: welcome 🙂

    21. Need_For_Speed73 on

What we (as Europeans) need now is strengthening our military forces and coordinate them together against the common enemy. Nothing that has never (and I’m afraid will never or at least not soon enough) be under the control of the EU which is basically an economic union.

    22. CreedofChaos on

Bros, come back in. You are Europeans as we all are and we need to stand united

    23. is-this-now on

Russia had a long term strategy of splitting UK from the EU. And creating division in the US (and supporting Trump). That says it all if you ask me.

    24. Mike_for_all on

From a European perspective, I’m a bit conflicted about it tbh. We are better off with the Brits than without, but they really chewed out Europe and Europeans before, during and after the Brexit referendum.

    25. Trantorianus on

Send Farage & his RuSSian friends to MuSSk and you are welcome.

    26. Desperate-Suck on

Brexit was a stupid move that did nothing but weaken the economies of both EU and UK. Holding grudges is pointless, if the UK wants to revert that they should be allowed to so we can be stronger together.
