That’s the number that matters.
Yeah, much more is needed to change the developments we have seen on the ground. It is exhausting to see how we are always reacting. There should have been a plan before Trump was elected, yet here we are. There is no strategic initiative or planning on what is our priorities or objectives.
Europe needs to actually think about what it wants and then plan and rescource to make that happen.
If we want to change the conditions on the ground in Ukraine and make clear that we can sustain Ukraine without the US, thus making Europe an indispensible part of any agreement, then we need to actually resource it. The Ukrainian state needs 40 billions 2025, IMF and others can take some of that but the rest is on Europe. In addition, we need to not only compensate for US support but go beyond that if we want to change the trajectory of this war.
6 billions is half of what is needed per month from now on if those are our actual objectives.

Whole europe should be training and arming new Ukrainian battalions on their own country. It would make huge difference in future and i dont know why it has not been happened already.
We need the EU countries who *barely* help at all to start contributing with their own packages as well. 6 billion is of course nothing coming from the whole of EU, countries need to send individual packages.
