      >It follows comments made by Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan yesterday, in which he said “too many people” are coming here seeking international protection who are not entitled to it.

      He’s clearly “far right”.

Its almost like all those people who protested for months who were labelled far-right had a point

But but but I thought the people of Coolock, Ballyogan, Dundrum, Athlone, Kells, Tullamore…. Were the bad guys???

Typical anti-immigration opposition crying that “reform is needed” without offering any solutions. Just signalling racism to their base who will eat it up. We’ve had years of this now.

Asylum law across the EU, including in Ireland, has been fully reformed. It’s called the migration pact.

The regulations & directives have been signed into law and come into effect in July 2026.

OK, now move from “it’s needed” to “we will implement it by then and then”.

Is there anything in this country that doesn’t need reform??! Except the passport renewal office 😂😭

I remember it was only last year where people who asked for this were called racists, far right scum.

      How the turntables, have rotated…..

He’s right, the immigration situation here has to be looked at. It was too much, too fast and has directly and indirectly created a shit load of issues, social issues, homelessness, housing crisis, crime. Anyone who says otherwise needs to get their head examined.
