President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the world needs guarantees that Russia will no longer be able to bring death to other nations. He emphasized that security guarantees are what unite the majority.
The head of state made this statement during his address on February 22.
“Security guarantees are what unite the vast majority. Europe, America, and all our partners around the world need a common understanding of how to ensure that Putin can no longer deceive anyone and that Russia will no longer be able to bring death to other nations—from Ukraine and Europe to Syria, the Middle Eastern countries, and Africa,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
He stressed that over the past 30 years, “we have seen far too many ruins and deaths, for which Russia is solely responsible—its army, its special services, and its mercenaries.”

There is no need for a peace talk. Europe can use the frozen 300 billion Russian money as collateral to fund Ukraine’s military for another 2 years. And Trump is destroying America’s economy, in the 2026 midterm elections democrats will win back the House of Representatives.
Zelensky is often so smart in his communications. Here saying “the world needs guarantees” because he knows guarantees to Ukraine mean burning but guarantees made to other nations might carry more weight.
Zelensky needs to call Trump’s bluff. This has always been about one thing—Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. Putin wants them, and now Trump does too. Ukraine is being exploited for its resources.
If I were advising Zelensky, I’d urge him to stand firm. The U.S. cannot afford to let Russia gain control over these critical minerals, which are essential for global technology. If Zelensky refuses Trump’s demands and commits to fighting on, he can challenge the U.S. to consider the consequences—allowing a Russia-China-Iran-North Korea alliance to dominate these resources would be a strategic disaster for America.
This is a major leverage point for Ukraine. I hope his advisors recognize it. Zelensky must call the bluff.
