L’Ucraina ha il coraggio della Russia ad aprire il fuoco su sciami di nuovi droni Trembita. Molti dei droni saranno esche.

What is the point of decoys for these relatively low cost drones? The airframe is 80% of the cost. Is the usage pattern that they go in, get detected, and then turn back for a soft recovery before they are shot down?

Russian propaganda station “Govorit Moskva” has:
“Russian air defense system destroyed nine UAVs over four regions
23:49 yesterday (Moscow time, it’s Sunday there)
They were shot down over the Belgorod, Oryol and Kursk regions, as well as Crimea.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this.
The department added that the attack took place between 20:50 and 22:25 Moscow time.”
Российская система ПВО уничтожила девять БПЛА над четырьмя регионами

So it was too much to be wiped under the carpet
and they downed nine drones over four regions,
making two and a quarter drone per region.
I wonder how many drones have reached their destination?
What’s in the article is the otherwise typical
“there was no damages or or casualties”
      and nothing about “debris”.

Anti-drone missile systems have a limited number of rockets. Decoys use up the limited number of missiles and allow the real drones with a loaded warhead through to the target, without being shot down. Clever targeting, knowing where the anti-drone missile systems are located, will help to get the loaded Trembita drones to the target.
