Never understood how lads can walk around with their phone held up to their sternum the whole time

Some excellent examples of clear DCC signwork to the right. It’s a cycle track, and it also needs a bicycle sign. Those bikes appear to be in a “slow zone” (whatever that means) and cyclists are limited to 30km/h. The sign on the top is warning you that children playing football and living in tents may run out in front of cars to greet a parent on the other side of the road.

I dunno , but whoever that lady is, she’s iconic.
You ever consider photography as a career? You did a really good job capturing that street scene. It’s like a sliver of Dublin. I can hear the horns and smell the pollution.
It looks like a company called Ledil make lenses, and so one company used them for pedestrian crossings, and traffic light manufacturers are now probably using the lenses too for add-ons to existing system.
It looks cool. The video on the linked page has exactly what was described, someone on a phone is crossing and the light catches their attention.

Seen a lot of these in Korea. Purely because people stare at their phone so much.

This is all I could find about them https://www.ledil.com/references/enhanced-lighting-system-improves-pedestrian-crossings-safety-in-russia/
