Back in my day we had Africa and a matching shower gel which was also Africa.
And were we happy? …No, but it gave our aunts something to get us at Christmas.

For 9 euro a pop, you’re way better off getting natural deodorant from Vico or The Black Stuff. Lasts longer and you’ll smell nice instead of a chemical factory!

they used to sell them for 3

Does anyone actually pay this?

is this supposed to be Tesco or Boots? Jusus they’re scalping you, dunnes has them far cheaper or on sale much of the time

I’ve no idea how Tesco and Supervalue are still in business. Completely overpriced. Even if you account for club card and vouchers you are paying way over the other stores for the same stuff.

€6.75 for the smaller can of the Dove deodorant in Tesco. It was €3 with the club card though, so needless to say I signed up for one then and there!

If I was German thats what I’d be saying to that.

Is there a rule that they have to have something at “full price” for a period of time before they apply the club card discount giving you 50% off….meaning you pay the same rrp as everywhere else?

Ah lads. Absolute rip off. Someone get Eddie Hobbs on the case.

That’s utterly taking the piss for cheap deodorant — it’s not L’Occitane or something.

Can’t understand why anyone shops in Tesco.

Go to deals or Lidl. I buy my conditioner in bulk as it’s cheaper. Don’t let people cheat you for the basics

I refuse to pay it. Simple. Go for the 3 to 4 euro one like old spice nivea blue skinny one or whatever feels like I’m not being mugged.

Get them when they’re on offer in Tesco, nearly half the price. I’ll never pay full price for them.

Get one of the roll-ons they sell in pharmacies. I use Mitchum.
One of the little bottles is €2-€3, but lasts legit 50x as long vs lynx and similar.
I shower twice a day as I’m sweaty and a gym head. Those little cans of spray deodorant would be gone in a week or two. Bought a couple of the roll ons on deal 2 for a fiver at some point mid last year and the second one still hasn’t run out.
They don’t smell as strongly, but they absolutely keep you from sweating or smelling like BO. And they’re small so you can travel with them easy.

I picked up a can of the dove in my local SuperValu this evening for 2.75 on sale. Absolutely wouldn’t pay 9 quid and definitely not for a lynx.

Euro Saver will have them for a Euro Fifty.

It’s a long way from Cherry Spritz that we were raised.

Just to say, those scents are part of a more upmarket range if that’s possible for lynx. Smaller container (150ml) compared to the traditional lynx ones we’re used to (250ml) for €4.50 at tesco

Go to Dealz or MrPrice. Same stuff, much cheaper.
