      That would be the first time I hear Germany being ready to do that. My last was, that Merz also stated that this is not a current discussion. Which is imo. a euphemism for „we are just not militarily able to“.

      Willing and “ready” are not the same things.

      I don’t see much options besides

      – Ukraine gets in NATO
      – Ukraine gets gifted Nukes and delivery mechanisms
      – 150.000-200.000 battle-ready soldiers, fully supported by combined arms. But an amount like that requires alot of american boots on the ground.

      The problem here is, that American soldiers can be pulled back on a whim with current leadership, so I’m not even sure if that’ll work.

      If none of those are options, then the war likely won’t end soon.

      UK, Germany and France could end the war in a month if they send ground troops and air support.

      Russia would cave immediately with fresh reinforcements.

      I am skeptical, this will come with A LOT of conditions and restrictions and limitations and bla bla bla political watered down BS.

      In the end, it will be a non security guarantee with peacekeepers armed with basic rifles and will run at the first sign of a 2nd invasion.

      Basically a useless “solution” to the RuZZian problem.

      UKR should just get nukes or the ultimate hunter killer super AI, the only guarantees that will work.

      What truce, FFS? Current russian demands cannot and must not be accepted and they are not accepting Ukrainian demands either.. They are not on the same page, they are not even reading the same book.

      Russia is going against it’s own interests – re-uniting and focusing the big 3 in Europe (France, Germany, UK), bringing Nordic Nato to the border (Sweden, Finland, Norway) and firing-up the close in border powers like Poland, Romania and others. Nato is a defensive alliance. Aggression from Russia is why they joined. Russia started this.
