    1. Bruh I could be fighting the US army in a trench somewhere in Germany and I’d still be drinking coca cola

    2. HungryPupcake on

Kind of wild how I don’t even know a lot of European brands, mostly because they are not really exported well between countries unless it’s a german product.

I don’t think Americans can really boycott because you’re shooting yourself in the foot. And Europeans can just buy local products anyway, rarely we buy something american unless you’re in the city and get fast food.

The only American thing people tend to buy is stuff like Coca Cola, and nestle has a pretty good boycott going on for a while too as there are plenty of alternatives.

the alternative to american messaging apps being an american messaging app is incredible

Where is Reddit ? Boycott Reddit and go off this site.

    5. wheredidmyMOJOgo on

Canada’s doing the same thing. Many grocery stores are identifying products that are not made in the usa.
Thousands of people have also canceled their vacation trips south.

    6. HotTruth999 on

In that case I’m going to boycott Dutch Bros. That’ll teach ya.

    7. Tbh at this point I would be ashamed to own a American made product and would be in fear of the reaction I would get in public if I had one on display.

some things are not really an option.
Whatsapp is the messaging app de facto, u cant switch simply coz no one use something different.

Google suite is really helpful hard to find something close enough.

But for food and amentities ()like x or FB or Prime or netflix,) no problema at all

40 yr old American here. I hope the world DOES boycott us. The majority of Americans want none of these policies and for sure none of this aggression towards our allies and friends. Threatening to shut off starlink to Ukraine? To extort them? Fucking pure evil. We deserve everything we get for allowing this piece of shit to get elected.

Tugging A! Why not? A long time coming in my opinion.

I was expecting Nestle to be on the Snacks/Food list, so it was nice to see that they weren’t.

Outside of the ‘core’ European states, is there a realistic chance of a bottom-up (citizen-led) response to American threats of tariffs? Like would a Polish people choose a German alternative to an American product? Romanians a Hungarian alternative etc.

      A few thoughts:

      1. Fanta was invented by the Nazis. It might be American now, but its origins are in Europe.

      2. Who in their right mind would eat 7/11 or Dominos in Europe? Honestly, most Americans could find better options than either one of those.

      3. Apple successfully resisted efforts to change their DEI policies. For a power hungry evil corporation, at least they’re solid on that front.

      4. While it’s not listed, Costco is also awesome. Though, if you want to buy from an European company, IKEA seems even more solid. Also, as a call back to 7/11, eat the hotdogs from either Costco or IKEA, not 7/11.

Yle Areena shouldn’t be here because all of the shows, movies and podcasts are in finnish and some movies and shows are in Swedish and English, the website and app are in finnish or Swedish and some movies shows and podcasts are restricted if you are not in finland.

Make sure to take a look at your tech usage!

Not just subscriptions but Meta, Google, and others make money off of ad revenue.

If you think you can manage it, Uninstall as many US tech company apps as you can. That will hit them hard!

American tech companies are a huge part of their influence kn the rest of the world

    16. This sub must be made up of children. I think the EU should start with boycotting Microsoft

    17. DeathOfPablito on

It should be weaker USA. I don’t give a fuck who currently runs that garbage country, it’s irrelevant.

    18. Unusual_Net_7235 on

Boycott american GPUs, CPUs, microchips too. Lets start using a european alternative instead. Oh wait there is almost none.

    19. KeyAirport6867 on

Ford isn’t about the bullshit and is well integrated in Eu economies. FYI

    20. Within reason, ie when adequate alternatives are available, I already prefer buying European good and services

    21. thomasismyname_ on

      * In 2023, the US had a $158 billion trade deficit with the EU in goods.
      * From 2013 to 2023, the EU’s trade surplus with the US ranged from €81 billion to €166 billion.
      * In 2024, the EU had a surplus of €150.1 billion in trade with the rest of the world
      * fuck Europe

    22. Outrageous_Piece_928 on

You realize this is the exact logic Trump is using for his tariffs. “buy USA, make USA stronger”

Let’s all delete our Steam libraries! That will show them!

Don’t forget to throw away all iPhones and Android phones!

      Hello everyone,

Have you heard of the crypto coin named PI?

It was listed few days ago on a few exhanges and since then it’s pumping like crazy. Only in the last 24h it’s up 77%, and when I’m writing this message one coin is 2.93$

If you want, you can start mining this coin with your phone by downloading the PI app from App/Play store and use **AndyBran21** as refferal, this way our mining rate will increase.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach me in DM.

      Happy mining!

    25. This never works.
Do NOT ask people to Boycott. Individual people will not bother with this crap. They will always buy what they like, or whats cheaper. Let people live…

If anything or anyone needs to boycott the USA, are the governements.
Invest state funds in domestic companies.
      Use regulations to our advantage.
Develop things, like domestic defense industry instead of buying Billions a year form the US.
Double EU Nuclear power plant capacity, and reduce coal/gas/oil imports
      etc

      Thats how you do it.
This reminds me of idiots asking people to eat less meat or use paper straws for climate reasons…
You want to tackle climate problems? Regulate the corporations. There are like 100 corporations that are responsible for 70% of CO2 emissions… start there.
