Ciao, Reddit!

Oh my god this made me cry.
What an absolute beautiful garden 🙁 I hope Katya has an amazing support network around her. That garden is a testament to her son and his life. These posts really bring the war home.
Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens **we do not forget you**
Stay strong. The good of the world is behind you. Rest in peace **Kolya**. 🥺💙
PS on a lighter note I really love the jugs she has on the shelf above the picture of her son xx
RIP, hero
The garden is wonderful.
There are a lot of mothers in Ukraine who have been orphaned because their sons were killed by the Russians. I talked to her back in the autumn, but I couldn’t get my head around writing this post. It is very difficult to write about people you know who have suffered such grief. Her son died in September 2023, he was 40 years old and unmarried with no children. Kolya worked as a builder in Kyiv (he used to work as a builder in Moscow 20 years ago, but returned to Ukraine after the outbreak of hostilities). So Kolya was bild something and when the war started, he went to defend his homeland and was killed, we, his friends, were grieving hard, but this grief was nothing compared to Katya’s. She told us how for a whole year she had a lump in her chest, couldn’t eat or drink and was crying all the time. Every day she would go to her son’s grave and only there would she feel relief. After a year, her grief did not diminish, but she learned to live with it. Now she only goes to the cemetery every week and cries less, but she hasn’t forgotten anything. Katya said that if he had left her with a child, she would have felt a little better, but unfortunately Kolya kept putting his personal life on hold. Now she has this little gazebo and the flowers that her son planted as a memento of her son. The funds paid to it by the state are spent, among other things, on assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She says it makes her feel better.
Ukraine is loosing brightest people while ruzzia and north korea are disposing their scum.
Fucking ruzzia. Fucking ruzzians. Fucking inept lax EU and US leaders who did nothing in 2014 and too little later. Fucking traitorous trump. Fucking retards who support him.
The rant is over.
Beautiful garden! She honors him well 💙
Such a beautiful little place. Flowers and inside look lovely. Hate how so much joy can be lost so soon.
Eternal life at peace for him and his brothers/sister’s with our Father. God bless all those affected, terrible what we do to each other, and even more when those in power who can do something stand by and do nothing. Heroes, all of them, including Katya.
Her son made a BEAUTIFUL backyard, very professional work.
So much love in that little corner, one can tell. RIP brave warrior! Слава Україні, героям слава!
This is so devastating. God bless the families who lose loved ones. Thank you Ukraine for fighting for them, you are truly the heroes of the entire world right now. We have flown your flag here in Ohio for three years now so Americans don’t forget the great sacrifice you are making for us. This US administration’s sickening actions will ring through history as true evil while Ukraine will build legends for generations around the world.
Please tell his mother that this mother from the US mourns his loss. His garden is lovely. He was clearly a good son. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦 Not everyone here supports Putin and the Orange Menace.
You know. We could learn a lot from them. Look at the humbleness. And still better looking than anything I’ve seen on Homes and Gardens. Well not humble but just good people living and loving?
