That ain’t going to happen. It should but it won’t.
They aren’t going to admit to that, because that would also mean admitting that they had troops in the Donbas when Russia claimed that it was totally a popular separatist uprising and not an invasion.
Sadly, Orange turd, in his race to make “peace of our time” 2.0 at any cost, says Russia can go unpunished.

MH17 was an act of war of Russia against uninvolved civilians. Putin should be jailed or whatever for this alone.

With such a “peacemaker” as Trump, a peace deal would rather force Ukraine to take responsibility for MH17..
The likelihood that Russia will admit that Russia’s support of eastern Ukraine caused the shoot-down of flight MH17 is about as high as the likelihood of the US officially admitting to the 2014 US coup in Kyiv that kicked this entire Ukraine mess off we are seeing today. So basically the likelihood is zero, at least for now, until the archives get opened and/or documents get declassified in many years (several decades) from now.

They may demand this, but its very unlikely that US or Ukraine will even raise this during talks as no one will risk prolonging conflict just to open doors for some people to get compensation. However it may be part of deal to lift sanctions on Russia.
Its tough subject because it would likely require Russia to pay billions usd(Libya was forced to pay almost 3 billions for Pan Am flight).
Sending these to the EU and US is the wrong addressee in my opinion. I feel for all the people related to this, but it should be Russia to be pushed and not the countries that try to push back already. Ukraine peace should not be used as a bandwagon to inject other nations interests all the sudden.
Won’t happen, but it won’t hurt to put it on the list of demands and it’s something Ukraine can negotiate away for something else.
