But he is wearing a hard hat in the picture. He must be serious about construction

    2. “The numbers do not include people sleeping rough, couch-surfing and in domestic violence refuges. Unaccommodated asylum seekers are also excluded from the total.”

Seems to be quite a few homeless people missing from the official homeless counting.

No surprise here regarding FF and FG lead government, tinker around the edges and ensure the 20pc of the Daily keep getting their rent money in.

Is this one of those “We tried nothing and are all out of ideas” issues?

He’s likely hoping to be retired to somewhere in sunny Euroland before it gets even worse, so can kick the can down the road some more.

Well one thing is for sure, it definitely can’t be fixed over night….. Or over decades too apparently 😣😣😣

      # Build more houses!

Build high density housing in high demand areas of large cities close to public transport.
If this is not profitable to do in the private sector, then the govt must build it.

But the govt won’t do it because there are too many people making too much money from ensuring the housing crisis continues.

And that’s a big FU from the people you just elected for the umpteenth time. Yay for Stockholm syndrome.

    11. So minister, when do you hope to start tackling the homeless figures?

Maybe next week, maybe next year. Sure who knows. Been an aul landlord myself, it’s not good for my personal financial situation to sort it out.

There was never going to be enough accommodation for the endless numbers turning up expecting the state to look after them.

I bet there isn’t but if it were a timeline for a pay rise he wouldn’t be so indifferent about it
