Lets create strong European demand so we can afford our defence

I guess this will mean war – but we stand together! That is the most really important thing

As an American I have never been as ashamed of our leadership as I am right now

Such a striking picture. The body language, the unity, respect. Very, very powerful.

After what happened in the White House, Europe can’t just sit back and make statements about Europe guaranteeing European defence, it needs to happen.

Here in the UK we just committed to 2.5% by the end of 2027, that needs changing now to 3.0% minimum by the end of next year and every country which was horrified to see what just happened in the White House needs to do the same.

No more statements, it’s time to back what’s being called for and make it happen.

He doesn’t realise it yet. But the golden child might be the best thing to happen to the EU.

He thinks he is a King. He is quickly, and ironically, becoming King George III.

Time to switch to a war economy and mobilise

And send one message to Putin be out of ukriane by march 20th or we will make you get out

They tried to set him up and tried to make him look ridiculous in front of the whole world, but it bakcfired. I hope all of Europe opens its eyes after this.

I’m disgusted that we even share a boarder with the USA.

    12. bootrest on

      Together we are strong.

F*** the new axis powers, we seriously need to start viewing the US as potential enemies because they have clearly aligned with and are controlled by Russia. They’ve already threatened about 5 countries in one month! That means triple checking all US military hardware/software that we’ve bought for bugs/backdoors. That means keeping tabs on American military personnel/bases in Europe and that means making plans in case of full on conflict…

Where are we Germans on this picture? Glory to Ukraine, with Ukraine the freedom would fall

    14. IndelibleLikeness on

Yes, Europe, you are the last hope for democracy. Our leaders are bought and paid for. They are truly playing the role of Russia’s bitches. The US is now a disgrace, the world over.

    15. SaraAnnabelle on

Glad America’s been exposed for what they are. Now Europe can move on without them.

    16. steph95E50 on

Let us not believe that populism stops at the American borders but let us all learn the lesson of the price of a ballot and the fact that the freedom we have has been won, it is not a right, we must therefore defend it and not believe that it will be ours forever

    17. I do hope Europe gets their act together and starts pushing that imbecile a little harder. This is the right time to choose what Europe stands for and let the Orange turd destroy himself on the global stage.

Ps. Maybe ban those social sewers owned by Musk and Zuck. Let’s see how happy you are after that.

The American people stand with Ukraine, peace, and the rest of the world! Sadly the current president does not. If I wasn’t so numb from the constant insanity that has been put upon us since inauguration, I would feel nothing but anger and shame. Anger that we are being forced down a road with no winners, only losers. Shame that any of this orange clown’s actions have been done in my name as an American.

    20. Adequate_Ape on

Serious question: does Europe have a realistic pathway to being a competitive military power within, say, a decade? I’d be most interested to hear from people with some expertise in economics, political science, and military affairs.

    21. secretsaucebear on

They should have done what was needed three fucking years ago, but better late than never. Europe unite and finally hard-check these fucking dictators, or they will set the agenda going forward, creating their desired new world order, in which most of us, including future generations, won’t thrive. Loving Kallas especially. She’s a good, uniting force to be reckoned with.

    22. Outside-Same on

      I hate trump.
I’m an American it’s an embarrassing feeling.
Hope Europe stands strong, and trump strokes out after his next Big Mac

    23. ShwaaMan on

Got any pics like this for Americans smack in the middle of it?

This sucks… to put it mildly

    24. Reasonable-Spinach88 on

Please donate to Unite24 (run by the Ukraine government) https://u24.gov.ua/ if you feel just as angry as me about what happened.

This is how intelligent and responsible leaders behave. This feels safe. This image projects stability and success.

    28. chopsui101 on

I see a whole group of people who are willing to do anything to help Ukraine…….except send anything meaningful aid……Europe is more than free to open its coffers and send weapons to carry on the struggle once America leaves.

    29. RioMetal on

Beautiful pic, ok. Now we must create a real united Europe: no more single states and Trumputin fuck off.

    30. Kikunobehide_ on

I so desperately want the EU to get its head out of its ass and become a military power to be feared by all its opponents. It’s time for a federal European Union with a federal government and an EU army. I want Putin to think, I’d better not cross that line when he deals with the EU.

    31. No-Advantage-579 on

I’m just beyond despairing right now. What makes me despair (other than Putin, Trump, the obvious):

      1) Orban. We really need unity right now and no crook leaking shit to Putin. (Hate Meloni, but she can be handled.)

      2) That we’re still sending too much money to Russia. [https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/feb/24/eu-spends-more-russian-oil-gas-than-financial-aid-ukraine-report](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/feb/24/eu-spends-more-russian-oil-gas-than-financial-aid-ukraine-report)

      3) Various rightwing encroaches in politics or otherwise political chaos in key EU countries. A lot, but not all due to Russian meddling.

    32. AlbatroSS-Aenaf on

I am both European and American.

As an American, I strongly apologize for this disgraceful show as it is utterly embarrassing!

As a European I say this: We CANNOT rely on the rest of the West to keep it’s promises. Our American Republic is going through a political storm and a time of cultural crisis.

Europe needs to stand–up, needs to Unite and most importantly we must Re-Arm and RAPIDLY Re–Militarize.

    33. Relevant_Fuel_9905 on

It sucks that the US has so much military power, and that it finally fell into the hands of evil men.

    34. gambit87 on

Collectively they’re not willing to give money to Ukraine. They give loans while expecting the US to give grants. Trump is right trying to get the US’s money back.

    35. Successful-Shoe1601 on
