      I’m concerned that some European countries are being too diplomatic.

      For example, the UK is a strong supporter of Ukraine, being the second-largest aid donator in Europe.

      But I’ve just been watching Starmer with Trump and JD, and a couple of his interviews.

      He seems diplomatic and civil, emphasising the “special relationship” (which everyone knows no longer exists). He and Trump seemed to get along fairly well apart from a few disagreements.

      I’m slightly worried the UK is sucking up to him so that it can avoid tariffs. Of course, it should try to avoid them, but not at the expense of its allies. There has been silence from the UK government compared to other European leaders who are generally much more openly critical of Trump.

      The scariest thing about Trump 2.0 is the unwillingness of anyone prominent in the Republican Party to challenge him. Just an hour before the “meeting” (ambush) with Zelensky, a group of Republican Senators who have enthusiastically supported Ukraine throughout the war met with him to express their support. After the ambush, some of them reversed course and others deleted tweets where they previously expressed support for Ukraine. Just mind boggling stuff, especially when Trump can’t run again and can drop dead any day due to his advanced age and shitty diet.

      So this is it, the US is willing to lose all the soft power it got after the collapse of the Soviet Union and just focus on the economic hegemony while the rest of the world is for China and Russia to either buy or conquer… Not raising that its economic hegemony comes from this soft power.

      I’m out of words to describe the appalling behavior displayed by Trump and Vance.
      They banded together like a couple highschool bullies against Zelensky and humiliated him in front of the media.

      Trump is the one drawing this world closer to a third world war the verry thing he accused Zelensky off.
      Trump is setting up the intire free world against the US, I feel sorry for the American citizens once they start to see what’s happening to their country.

      A lot of trust, buildt over eighty years, is being tossed out of the window in a matter of weeks, trust that will be hard to gain back once these four years of king Trump are over imho.

      The world was watching this meeting, and it was not just embarrassing for Trump and Vance but for the entire American people.

      There will be no deal between Ukraine and the U.S., and the rest of the world is distancing itself from the U.S., like Canada. In six months, the U.S. will be completely isolated, with no global influence anymore, while China and, hopefully, the EU take over.

      Traiters, all of them Traiters to our nation, Traiters to our ideals so many worked towards over so many years. They should be in prison for treason, not running our country.

      I can barely put into words the disgust I feel. I love my country, and they are destroying every part of it. Not just the economy or our carefully crafted trade alliances over decades, not just the betrayal of our allies and our own people, but they are destroying our very heart.

      I feel sad every day reading the news and angry listening to his stupid comments. It will take decades to undo the damage he has done and even longer to repair the heart of the country.
