We may have to split the misguided eastern parts of Oregon though.
Blue-state CA would become the biggest part of Blue Denmark, and receive, as the petition promises, “the rule of law, universal healthcare, and fact-based politics.”
Most important, Fact-Based Politics! haha could imagine a lot of us citizens willing to pay subsription for fact based policy at this moment in time ;D

As far as I remember the proposal every Dane has to come up with 200.000, I have to cover my wife’s share, and likely my kid’s as well. And I haven’t even started putting money aside yet….could you perhaps do something yourself California…and when you are free we can see how it goes if you wanna be Danish. Gotta remember we are pretty heavy on the sarcasm and dark humour.
There will be conditions.
-The Californians will not have voting rights in Denmark.
-They will pay Danish taxes, but they will not have access to our welfare system until 2055.
-They will not have rights to immigrate to Denmark as citizens until 2055 (they can immigrate under the current rules until then)
-Upon joining the kingdom of Denmark they will from day 0 be taxed on all assets and they will start paying property taxes (valuated with out perfect algorithm) from day 0.
-They will kneel whenever they meet a real Dane (until 2095, this is subject to extension)
-Their retirement age will be at 90 years of age.
Also we will receive 1 trillion USD + 5% of the US BNP yearly to take over the state.
