And this suit has a man in it, unlike some other suits…

Guys I’m taking a few days off from the news since trump disrespected my favourite world leader so much. I’m so fucking glad he’s sought solidarity with the UK.

We will never ever embarrass Ukraine like trump and those idiots will.

You could say many things about the royals, but at least they got some manners.

Do you see the difference that a little bit of kindness, diplomacy and hospitality makes a formal meeting? It is not the clothes that make the man. It is his integrity.

The UK has never forgotten the ‘Never Surrender’ spirit of WW2. Ukraine should have our backing for as long as it takes and far beyond.

The English are always civilized and respectful. Other nations could learn more than a few things from them.

Churchill wore a suit and fortunately didn’t have to lead from such a position! It’s the words that a human being bears, not the clothes on his body that represents his people!

Correction… I just saw a post where he’s in a military style uniform at times…

Because we remember Churchill doing the day to day in his Olive Drab Boiler Suit during WWII.

Don’t tell Tramp but the person taking the pictures is Obama.

It would be great if some of these European leaders had their staff and themselves dressed like Zelensky for one of these top-level meetings

The difference is King Charles is not trying to monetize the war.

King looks like he’s about to start break dancing

American politicians are laughing stock of the world.

    14. “I was awfully sorry to hear about the terrible nonsense you received from that great orange prick across the pond.

I’ll be having the misfortune of seeing him soon enough and when I do, rest assured, I’ll rip him a new one for that. I’ll show him what a fucking king is. More tea my boy?”

    15. That, my friends, is not a man not wearing a suit. That is a Legend.

    16. CornDogHoles on

Lol! “A man not wearing a suit”
      What a bunch of cowards

And Sir Charles is king for life our felon is 4 or less years if his cholesterol catches up to him.

The guy is a king and treats Zelenskyy with the respect he deserves

Angry Bird is an elected official who can go just as he arrived, and behaves like a child bully

Churchill also known for their Martial attire. UK is no stanger to a tradition of martial leaders whereas the US typically has a tradition of separation between military and civilian

    20. WhoAllIll on

Genuine question: why doesn’t he ever wear a suit when meeting with other presidents/royals? Genuinely just curious.

    21. Historical-Remove401 on

And the King didn’t yell at him or call him a dictator.

    22. Never thought I’d admire our royalty; as unnecessary as they are. Thankful for someone viewed with respect, is acting with respect. Never could have imagined the bar could get this low, but after yesterday I’ll take anything.

    23. Bowler_Pristine on

The actual king does not appear to be offended by Zelensky not wearing a suit

    24. Jon_biddle_author on

Zelenskyy stood in the Oval Office wearing the same military fatigues he has worn since the day Russia invaded his country. A symbol of resistance. A uniform of war. And yet, rather than focusing on the gravity of the moment; the brutal struggle of a nation fighting for its survival, critics fixated on his attire.
The same people who dismissed his plea for aid in the White House had no issue when he stood before King Charles in the same clothes. The difference? The man across from him.
As Abraham Lincoln once said, “Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.”
Zelenskyy’s character is defined by his unwavering leadership in the face of annihilation. His uniform is not a fashion statement, it is a reminder that he leads not from behind a desk, but from the trenches of a war that was forced upon his people.
And yet, those who would rather kneel before dictators and sell out their own country for personal gain believe they have the right to lecture him on decorum.
What does that say about their character?

    25. 3d_blunder on

And you can the King didn’t whine about it like a little bitch.

    26. JadedLeafs on

Did he not say at the start of the war that he will wear a suit again once Ukraine is not fighting a war? The fact that we know this but Trump and his little tangerine tigre JD don’t?

    27. rtrs_bastiat on

I just see two men in uniform. One might even argue two men out of uniform, but I wouldn’t agree.
