They better come up with hard numbers and hard commitments. Or we are collectively done.

    2. Okkuuurrrr on

Funny how the front-line wasn’t invited. Talking about the Baltics.

So glad to see Canada there. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ€πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

Big show of strength from all participating nations 😊

All the adults in one room. Degenerate bullies left behind.

We’ll see what would be the result of this. We have a lot of empty words though 11 years since the first russian attack on Ukraine.

They have to become radical or the whole EU is doomed

    7. fullpurplejacket on

I’d have never thought we’d see the UK have her neighbours and friends back round for tea but here we are. Makes me happy, shame it wasn’t under better circumstances

    8. Toker101 on

I’m really happy with this. All that’s missing in this picture is Merz iso Scholtz and that is just bad timing!

It will all just be talk and strong-worded letters, nothing is gonna happen, as always πŸ™

As a Ukrainian who lives in Europe for 7 years, I am very thankful to all our European friends, but I just don’t see Europe changing fast enough. And traitors Orban and Fico will block any important EU decisions anyway

Still blows my mind that Ukraine says, “We will do our best to defend our country, and also make sure that Russia never does something like this again. All we ask for is weapon support, and we’ll take care of the rest”, and countries still have hard time giving funds. Its the CHEAPEST way to break down Russia. Other option is to send your loved ones to war.

I wish we didn’t just have a transition of government right now.

For all the comments about why a certain country wasn’t invited, Starmer’s interview this morning offers some insight. It mainly seems to be about prioritising faster pace at this time rather than involving every single member.

    13. Turkey is there. Nice. That’s a key to this puzzle.

North Africa and Syria/Lebonon would be two more.

    14. GoldenLeoRising on

Actually so proud of the UK for facilitating these talks! Feeling the hopeful unity of Europe today – something we Brits haven’t felt since Brexit!

Europe needs its own military & intelligence alliance

It’s compatible with the NATO membership, but the European alliance should be prioritised over it πŸ›‘οΈ

It amazes me how you can post literally any picture of European leaders for karma farm and it instantly gets like thousands of upvotes.

If Europe falls, the world will be a much darker place.

      Winston Churchill, probably.

Too many actors. They will not find a solution. Nuclear is problem or they’ve already started invasion. Nuclear…

This is how Zelenskyy should be received. So sorry the U.S. let you down. – A devastated American citizen.

So far it looks more like posturing than actual action. They totally told him in private to go to Trump and fix it.

That titled should have always been a shared responsibility, glad it’s a fact now.

    22. Why does the EU keep having summits after summits after summits, what do they discuss in these meetings? and why can’t they take concrete actions?

β€œHow can we further impoverish our people for war?”

    24. MightyMane6 on

Trust that there are many Americans that are deeply saddened by all of this. Regardless though, my hope is that Europe can come out more united and stronger.

    25. No-Implement3172 on

Europe as usual is pure hypocrisy.

These same countries are spending more on Russian fuel than they do on Ukrainian aid. They are funding both parties in a war.

    26. I really enjoy seeing my flag (Canada) there in Europe with all these other great nations!

    27. Previous_Scene5117 on

The result will be EU buying US weapons and US keep on inferring into EU business… Nothing will change.

Where is the Hungarian? Is that why he gets paid by the Hungarians?

    29. I’m not buying it.

Nothing but privileged cowards seeking only to enrich themselves, convening in private and making decisions that would benefit them, not caring what consequences said decisions might have on their respective peoples

And people wonder why I now prefer monarchy and dictatorship over democracy.

Say what you will about Trump and Putin, but at least they understand the needs of their respective nations far better than Biden, Zelenskyy, Starmer, and the other jobbernowls in Europe who profess to represent theirs. Yeah. I said it.

As some who studied Roman history, what is happening to the Roman Republic before Sulla and Caesar is now happening to the West.

It’s likely only a matter of time now before someone like Caesar, Augustus, or Napoleon comes along in each nation in Europe, to deliver it from corruption. And before we know it, Europe will give way to the rise of dictatorships or the restoration of monarchies.

As philosopher George Santayana once said: **”Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”**

I honestly don’t believe words and symbolic meetings anymore until I see real actions…

    31. Criticalem on

Are you implying baltic states are not free? Or won’t be free? Because we weren’t invited :/

    32. GoodVibesSaveLivesOk on

Guys so the baltics weren’t invited. So what? It’s one meeting dude. The UK hasn’t been invited to meetings before, lots of countries have for all sorts of reasons.

Can y’all please grow the fuck up and stop making this moment all about yourselves? It’s shameful to see all the crying in the comments especially when you’ve already received an apology from the PM.
