As an explanation: Péter Magyar, Orbáns challenger is having a grand tour throughout Hungary, and a grand rally on March 15 (a national holiday) in Budapest. These rallies are MASSIVE, Magyar and his entourage often gather hundreds of people even in towns with a few thousand locals.

I hope Hungarians get back toward Europe and if Magyar is Elected, make sure that their institution are solid enough so something like Orban doesn’t happen again.

Live video that was made by Magyar:

He is currently touring the country and he goes to about 4 villages/cities per day and does hour long speeches without a note at every location. (last year at this same time period he went 150 cities/villages in 3 months)

And please note that normal rallies were not really a thing before him so even a 100 people attending at a city is an amazing thing by itself. Without exaggerating I can honestly say that every place he goes a new record is set for the amount of people getting together for a political event.

And he does this regularly, not a one-off thing.

As the motto goes “Árad a Tisza” (The Tisza is flooding)

Here just a part of Tisza’s programme:

      Pension policy

      * We are setting up a Pensioners’ Service Centre (PSC).
      * Maintain the 13th month pension.
      * Introduce a supplementary pension for a decent life.
      * We will set up retirement homes, homes for the elderly and rehabilitation facilities with state and EU support.
      * We will provide training for public workers and use them to provide support services for our elderly fellow citizens.
      * We work with local craftsmen to improve the living conditions of pensioners with a 50% discount.

      Economy:

      * TISZA promotes zero tolerance of corruption and brings home EU funds. This will provide an extra HUF 800,000 per person to the budget.
      * Thanks to TISZA’s predictable economic policies, the market will finance Hungarian public debt more cheaply, saving hundreds of billions of forints for the Hungarian budget.
      * We will eliminate hundreds of billions in subsidies for propaganda. We will stop unnecessary and overpriced investments.
      * We will use EU funds to support small and medium-sized enterprises and family farmers.
      * We will launch a public rental housing programme.
      * We will immediately double the family allowance.
      * We will pay particular attention to research and development and to an environment that supports the creation and operation of start-up businesses.
      * We will provide tax relief and real red tape reduction to help start-ups and businesses of Hungarians returning from abroad.
      * We will create the Stability Fund. Its base will be the assets recovered from the National Co-operative Criminal Syndicate. The main purpose of this fund is to maintain economic stability, especially in the event of crisis situations or economic shocks.
      * Wealth growth tax will be introduced on assets above HUF 10 billion.
      * We reform the KATA tax to bring it back to its former areas.
      * We will end profiteering from vulnerable families.
      * We will introduce a wealth assessment for senior politicians (including ministers, secretaries of state, MPs, the prime minister and members of his family).

      Good start.

Maybe 10 years after we kick you out, we can talk about your re-accession.

As an American here, good for these people in Hungary.

I hope we can have our mass mobilizations to get Trump and Vance out of office after that disgraceful display on Friday.

      I know I’m trying
