How would they be equipped? The production of arms and munitions in Europe is overstretched just supplying the Ukrainian forces currently. Deploying more men is unlikely to swing the war substantially, deploying more industrial capacity is.
Tbh, everyone knows nuke is bluff from all sides. But nobody wants to test it.

Did the US really remove itself from the equation, or did they simply shift their position in the equation? Boots on the ground at a minimum needs a guarantee that both the USA and China don’t end up helping Russia. USA removing monetary support to Ukraine’s war can be covered by other countries, but refusing to sell weapons or pulling out Starlink would be problems money doesn’t really fix in the short term.
If the EU or UK were to put boots on the ground, it seems like that should have happened in the 3 years before Trump’s reelection.
EU troops should be in Ukraine long time ago.
In a perfect world, Europe would step up now, give putin an ultimatum, something like “You have 3 days to leave Ukraine or we’ll kick you out”. If he’s not leaving, we would establish a no fly zone over Ukraine and give overwhelming air support to ukraine. If this is not enough, Europe would send troops to kick russia out back to the original borders. After that it would create a bufferzone along the border with Neutral countries such as Switzerland to make sure nobody violates any agreements.

The nuclear arsenal still exists, and they’re all still free to use them. I’d say this actually makes it WORSE, because Trump is so stupid and small-minded that he’d actually fire missiles himself AT Europe to stop an attack on Russia. Because he probably thinks he could start and “win” a limited nuclear war.
During his first term, John Brennan and the Chief of the US Joint Chiefs agreed on a code to REVOKE use of the nuclear football, because the way the system works by default- the President doesn’t actually need ANYONE to authorize the use of nuclear weapons, except literally the officer carrying the transmitter.
The saving grace, which is in doubt if you got him mad enough – is that he is literally an abject coward. So if he actually thought ahead, he’d realize that surviving that would guarantee he’d be hunted and killed like a dog. We saw how badly he wanted to please his master on Saturday, shouting and going off script, saying the quiet part out loud to tell everyone what a wonderful guy Vladimir Putin is. So actually threatening Putin I think would make him actively try to defend Russia – the question then, is.. how intelligent and moral are American soldiers and their commanding officers? And do their take THEIR oath to defend the United States more seriously than Trump takes his?

If European troops entered Ukraine in large enough numbers to make a difference, Russia wouldn’t nuke France or UK, it would nuke Ukraine. And no, not even France or UK would start a nuke war to avenge Ukraine.
