Russia was a terrible mediator in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (I’ve been following it on and off for a while). All Russia did was talk, talk, and talk.
I’ve said it once before and I’ll say it again: Russia does not stand for peace. It did not stand for peace back then (during the days of the Russian Empire) and it does not stand for peace now. And if you expect anyone to believe otherwise, you’ve got another thing coming in there.
Just so we’re clear, I have a neutral stance on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. That said, I absolutely do not approve of what Azerbaijan has been doing for the past 30 years – promoting anti-Armenian rhetoric and banning Armenians outright from visiting.
