More context: “*The suspects allegedly took steps to negotiate with foreign political and military entities regarding Romania’s exit from the military alliance it is part of, the removal of the current constitutional order, the dissolution of political parties, the establishment of a new government composed of organization members who would assume ministerial roles, the dismissal of all state institution employees, the adoption of a new constitution, and changes to the country’s name, flag, and anthem, according to the DIICOT statement.*”

Ngl I lost a lot of respect after they let the Tates leave. I mean, it’s probably not their fault, but it still sucks.

    3. I doubt they even tried to defend themselves, the change has been too drastic. They all vowed to the orange man.

If that isn’t grounds for conviction on charges of high treason I don’t know what is.

Is the U.S. forcing the richest economic entity in the world, the European Union, to pay its $36 trillion debt by dragging us into a war?

(only in this way, the lost assets will have to be fully replaced by the new US production facilities)

Will China be forced to stay put because it has bought trillions of dollars of U.S. debt and the U.S. is threatening China with default if it tries to help the EU?
How can I make it a post on r/europe ?

Russia: If you can’t protect your country, it’s your own fault.

Also Russia: This is an escalation and definitely not fair!

Good! Good…Now all the Europe must be cleaned of those spies and traitors.

I saw articles about Georgescu being “angry”. Not suprising ngl. The noose is tightening and the law is coming for him. The chance to sieze power is gone at this point so he dosen’t really have a way out anymore unless he flees the country.

I think that he will be facing prison time.

Wish Hungary still had this much power over Russian influence…

Treason should be the highest penalty crime throughout the developed world! It’s should be life without the ability for parole + all personal ans business assets seized ! The rest of Europe should follow !

What’s funny is that one of the suspects is a general in reserve, Radu Theodoru, who is 101 years old. Grandpa doesn’t have anything better to do than orchestrating a coup

For our European friends who only get tidbits of information from here: yes, that’s good, but it appears one of the secret service branches that sits under the army (the General Directorate for Defense Intelligence, known as DGIA in Romania) was infiltrated by Russian agents. Worrisome news despite the six arrested people, all in all.

It’s easy if the traitors aren’t your president and his followers.

Meanwhile in France, politician are openly advocating for Russia in a very sudden and suspicious manner and no-one is telling anything.

Romanians once again signaling their impostor syndrome. “Look guys, we are just like you, we hate Russians ☝️🤓 , please stop thinking bad of us”

      “Changes to the country’s name”

WTF? Were they going to rename the country to Soviet Socialist Republic of Romania?

    18. Funny thing one /the head of the organization is a 101 years old general/writer who founded, was member, campaigned for most of the significant romanian extremist parties since the early nineties.

You know it’s bad when DIICOT has to actually get involved instead of just sitting on it’s ass

This is only the beginning. All western countries need to investigate Russian corruption within their political apparatus.

Romania is not messing around and should be an example for other places in Europe.

      No more tolerance for traitors.

Either we all clean house now or live under someones boot later.

I can’t believe my country is praised for something in these times :))
It seemed that we are a constant target in the last months.

    23. European countries need to start instilling fear into traitors. I don’t understand how people became so bold and brazen in the last 15 or so years. I guess money is a big motivator.
